Job Title: Tank Shop Welder/Fitter/Fabricator
About Us: Metalfab LTD is a fire apparatus manufacturer located in Centreville, NB, Canada. Metalfab specializes in custom-engineered units to meet the specific needs of each customer. Our products include Pumpers, Tankers, Rescues, Mini Pumpers, and other fire-related apparatus. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our team and contribute to our tradition of excellence.
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced fabricator/Fitter. The ideal candidate will have experience with some TIG and MIG welding, with a strong preference for those skilled in plastic welding as well as individuals with experience in AutoCAD design. Our focus is on finding a skilled fabricator who can integrate into our Poly tank division while being flexible enough to cross train on existing roles with our body fabrication team. The ability to interpret shop drawings and maintain a strong work ethic is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plastic welding tasks under the guidance of the tank shop lead hand.
- Interpret and work from shop drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding techniques.
- Preferred experience in welding plastic.
