Having all your equipment readily available and easily accessible is crucial when your department is working at a scene.

That’s why a walk-in rescue with its spacious interior, configured with numerous cabinets and workstations, is a key asset for your team to perform various tasks in the line of duty. When customized to meet your team’s specific needs, walk-in rescues become an invaluable resource for any department.

Walk-in rescues serve as the “mobile toolbox” of the fire department, transporting equipment and manpower to the fire scene. Unlike other units that primarily rely on external compartments for storage, walk-in rescues are designed to provide convenient interior access to smaller tools and equipment while accommodating a larger team at the scene.

While walk-in rescues are generally not designed to carry water like pumper and tanker units, a custom unit can be configured to include this feature if desired. You also have the option to add accommodations for ladders and suction hoses.

Each walk-in rescue unit features an automatic transmission, diesel engine, scene lighting systems, tower lights, generators, and your choice of a commercial chassis (Freightliner, International, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Mack, etc.) or a custom chassis (Spartan). You can select warning light systems from Federal, Whelen, or Code 3, choose between roll-up or flush mount doors, and customize seating, tool-mounting, and SCBA storage options. Exterior compartments are installed on the low, mid, and high sides for additional storage.
